At The Artichoke, that’s what Christmas has always been about.
Not simply what’s on the plate or what’s under the tree, but the people sitting beside you. A warm pub, a full table, good food, glasses raised and time together, because sometimes the simplest moments are the ones we remember most.

Christmas at the pub begins...
There’s a moment every year when the pub starts to feel a little more magical. The lights are twinkling, the fires are glowing, the first festive drinks are being poured and Christmas is officially on its way.
From 19 November, our festive menu arrives at The Artichoke, bringing all the flavours of the season to the table. Whether it’s the first Christmas catch-up of the year, a long-overdue get-together or simply an excuse to settle in somewhere cosy, this is where the festivities begin.

19th November - 24th December
The big red postbox
Christmas is about giving a little joy as well as receiving it. Our Big Red Post Box will be arriving at The Artichoke this festive season, ready for some very special post.
Little ones can write their Christmas wishes to Father Christmas, or create a Christmas card for someone in a local care home to help spread a little festive cheer beyond the pub.
A small gesture, a little bit of Christmas magic and hopefully plenty of smiles along the way.
11th December
Carols at the pub
There are few things that feel quite as Christmassy as carols, a cosy pub and a room full of people singing together.
Join us at The Artichoke for a wonderfully festive evening of Christmas carols, good company and plenty of festive cheer. Bring the family, gather your friends, grab a drink from the bar and sing along to some of the songs that make this time of year so special.
A simple Christmas tradition, and one of our favourite evenings of the festive season.
